(Sun Prairie, WI)—March, 2015— Continental Mapping is pleased to announce that the US Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) Fort Worth District has awarded Continental Mapping Consultants a $3.3 million surveying, mapping and related geospatial services contract. This is the third such USACE contract awarded to the firm in the last five years.

“It’s a tremendous honor to have USACE Fort Worth select us. Our work for the Corps of Engineers in the region and across the country is something we take a lot of pride in.  We are excited about new opportunities with the District particularly given our long term relationship with the Tulsa District just to their north.”

-Paul Braun, VP Sales and Marketing

The contract includes a base period of twelve months plus two, twelve month option periods.

USACE Fort Worth and Continental Mapping have a relationship that already includes several projects at military bases.  Those projects featured mobile lidar, topographic survey, subsurface utility survey, and boundary survey.  “Assisting Dyess Air Force Base was a great example of our organizations working together,” said Ben Leonard, Project Manager on the Dyess AFB Taxiway Expansion project.  “We deployed our mobile lidar, completed topographic and subsurface utility survey, and merged it all into a single 3D deliverable to assist the base in expanding its taxiway.  That project sets a great tone for this contract.”
