The growth trend that has defined the past year for Continental Mapping continues with the addition of Nathan Spangler as Vice President - Federal Services. Nathan has over 14 years of experience in the GEOINT community, with a start in positions such as Product Order Technician and Quality Control Analyst at Digital Globe predecessor firms. He eventually branched into the compilation side of the GEOINT workflow, and saw rapid personal career development – highlighted by his hiring at Continental Mapping.

Nathan is an alumnus of Southwest Missouri State University (now Missouri State) where he attained a Bachelors of Cartographic Sciences. Nathan also received a Master’s of Science in Geography from Southern Illinois University Edwardsville.

Nathan has touched most of the products found on the National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency’s Foundation GEOINT Content Management (FGCM) contract including but not limited to: TLM, UFD, ICM, MGCP, Content Management, and Cartography (5k through 5m).

Nathan said this on being hired at Continental Mapping:

“Continental Mapping presented a unique opportunity to take my GEOINT knowledge and relationships within the industry and NGA into a new direction. In addition to managing the DOD/IC work, Continental Mapping also afforded me an opportunity to grow and lead a young and talented group of GEOINT professionals spread across both Sun Prairie and St. Louis. I spent a long time speaking with the senior leadership and found we share many of the same philosophies in terms of management and the unique growth possibilities Continental Mapping has to offer the DoD/IC.

I personally find the mobile and terrestrial lidar book of work at Continental Mapping very interesting. I’m also excited about the evolution of unmanned aerial systems. They are the remote sensing technology on everyone’s minds and offer us yet another resource to collect imagery and lidar for our clients. I like what I have seen from Continental Mapping in this new market.”

Nathan’s addition has brought a much appreciated asset under newly promoted Executive Vice President Operations Raquel Charrois.

“Nathan is a great addition that makes us poised for continued growth and success in the federal sector.” -Executive VP - PMO and Operations Raquel Charrois.

Headquartered in suburban Madison, Wisconsin, Continental Mapping is a leading provider of geospatial data development solutions, including full service land survey, aerial and mobile lidar, photogrammetric mapping, unmanned aerial systems, and remote sensing.
