Continental Mapping has an exciting opportunity for an experienced surveyor to manage our current survey projects and lead the development of this expanding division with national reach. The ideal candidate is self-motivated and able to operate independently. Relocation is not necessarily required.
The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications: - Experience managing a surveying department
- 5+ years of experience in the land survey field, with duties that have included:
- Project management
- Field crew supervision
- Project estimation
- Client interaction
- Demonstrated business development and client relationship management experience
- Licensure from multiple states and familiarity with survey work for geographically diverse areas
- Required states include at least one of the following: Arkansas, Kansas, Missouri, Oklahoma, Texas
- Understanding and ability to operate traditional and survey-grade GPS equipment
- Extensive experience with boundary and cadastral surveys - federal government client experience preferred
Preference will be given to those candidates meeting the following qualifications: - CFedS certification
- Licensed surveyor certifications from Midwest or West Coast states
- Experience with airborne GPS collection and post-processing
- Experience with hydrographic surveying
- Experience with MicroStation, INROADS, Trimble Geomatic Office, HYPACK, or other advanced post-processing software packages
- Familiarity with LiDAR technologies, especially terrestrial scanning
- Familiarity with photogrammetric mapping and remote sensing technologies
- Familiarity with US Army Corps of Engineers Engineer Manuals EM 1110-1-1005 and EM 1110-2-1003
