 The senior photogrammetrist is responsible for efficient, accurate compilation of photogrammetric base maps using softcopy stereoplotters in accordance with established mapping specifications applying advanced knowledge of photogrammetry. An understanding of photogrammetry principles, mapping specifications, and map accuracy standards is required. Attention to detail and a broad understanding of mapping specifications are also necessary.
Other duties as assigned may include aerotriangulation, project planning, lidar data processing, cartographic editing, map finishing, project setup, QA/QC procedure development, and project estimating. The senior photogrammetrist may also be assigned to project oversight duties as required. The senior photogrammetrist is expected to provide guidance to co-workers regarding procedures and project specifications.
Position Requirements:
- Demonstrated experience with 3-D stereocompilation (minimum of 5 years experience) collecting plan and DTM at all map scales
- Demonstrated aerotriangulation experience measuring, running, and analyzing results (minimum of 3 years experience)
- Demonstrated ability to plan, organize, and function in a dynamic environment
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or equivalent experience in a related field
- Ability to effectively communicate both in writing and orally with project manager, clients, and co-workers
- Ability to accurately develop specifications, requirements, and QC procedures for mapping projects
Preferred Skills: - ASPRS Certified Photogrammetrist or Certified Photogrammetric Technician
- Experience with SSK and Intergraph photogrammetry software suite
- Experience processing and classifying lidar data with GeoCue
