USACE Little Rock District Work Continues
Satellite Volumetric SurveyContinental Mapping staff have been very busy working on large projects for the Little Rock District of the US Army Corps of Engineers under our IDIQ contract for surveying and mapping there. One recent project required lidar acquisition over nine square miles over Little Rock Air Force Base in Jacksonville, Arkansas, with a bare earth model and 1-foot contours deliverable. A much larger project currently under way for the Little Rock District involves 500 square miles of imagery and lidar data acquisition over Table Rock Lake near Branson, Missouri. Continental Mapping is currently generating 1-foot and 2-foot contours from the data depending on the area of interest within the study region, and is also generating orthophotography. Continental Mapping has worked with regional interests to offer related mapping services tied into the Table Rock Lake project and is looking forward to meeting the mapping needs of our new regional government clients in southern Missouri as well as the mapping needs of the Corps.
