CMC has hired long-time geospatial professional Ron Schonegg to open a Regional Branch Office in Indianapolis. This will be the first branch office opened by CMC outside of our headquarters in Sun Prairie, Wisc.
"We are opening the Indiana office to provide better service to our clients as we begin to expand our photogrammetric and surveying activities in both the private and public sectors across the United States," said CMC President Dave Hart. "We are delighted that Ron was available to open and manage this office for us."
Before joining CMC in February, Ron Schonegg managed all photogrammetric operations at three regional offices for Spectrum Mapping of Denver, Colo. Ron came to Spectrum through a merger of his previous employer, 3Di, with EnerQuest. After nearly 20 years in the geospatial industry, Ron brings a strong background in photogrammetry, as well as LiDAR acquisition, for public and private customers. Early in his career, Ron was heavily involved in GIS conversion work, primarily related to utilities.
"It's great to join a growing firm like Continental Mapping," said Schonegg. "We see many opportunities to expand and enhance CMC's business offerings in the Indiana area."
Ron also has extensive experience managing large projects for federal clients, and we anticipate he will leverage these skills as CMC continues to focus on working with the U.S. federal government.
"Ron has developed an impressive expertise in the acquisitions side of aerial mapping and surveying. We see that as a great complement to the back office aspects of the photogrammetric work we specialize in now," said Hart.
We invite our clients and colleagues to meet Ron in person at the Indiana GIS Conference, where we will have an exhibit booth. The show will be held March 13-14, 2007, in Indianapolis at the Crowne Plaza Hotel and Conference Center.
