Continental Mapping Consultants, Inc., is a small, dynamic, and growing Photogrammetry and Geospatial Services firm located in Sun Prairie, Wisconsin – 5 minutes from Madison. We are currently looking for motivated individuals to expand our capabilities in the LiDAR data development and post processing venues.

 

- Mid-Senior LiDAR Project Manager

This position is responsible for all aspects of LiDAR projects, including financial, technical, and scheduling. Besides client management, main responsibilities include managing project teams to complete projects on budget and schedule, assisting in training for new staff, designing and implementing QA/QC procedures, and assisting other managers in developing business proposals and responding to RFPs. While this position is mostly Project Management, hands on production may be needed to complete schedules. Experience in corridor/utility LiDAR projects is a plus.

 

WORK EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
Minimum 5-10 years in GIS/Mapping Geospatial Production/Services with at least 3 years in Project Management
Detailed knowledge of LiDAR production processes
Working knowledge of Socet Set and GeoCue a plus

- LiDAR Analyst

This position is responsible for the technical aspects of LiDAR processing. Main duties will be production orientated and include post processing of LiDAR data, QA/QC of data, and managing and creating delivery products derived from final LiDAR data. Will assist managers in training, workflow improvements, and maintaining and archiving data.

 

WORK EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
Minimum 1-3 years in GIS/Mapping Geospatial Production/Services
Knowledge of LiDAR production processes
Knowledge of GPS/IMU processing
Ability to perform sensor calibration/boresighting
Knowledge of LiDAR production software (Socet Set and GeoCue preferred)
Good communication and organizational skills

 

- Senior Project Manager

This position in our Federal Programs Division requires excellent project management and project estimation skills for NGA and other federal government products. Excellent skills for communicating with both staff and management personnel are crucial. The ability to accurately track project progress and provide accurate estimates to completion is required. Previous experience in photogrammetry or geospatial project management as well as experience with NGA products and workflows is strongly preferred. Applicant must have a demonstrated ability to work in a dynamic team environment. Qualified applicants must be U.S. citizens and be able to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret clearance.

The position requires:

•  Assisting in the development of technical approaches and cost estimates

•  Maintaining client contact, including traveling to project meetings

•  Supervising technical staff, including mentoring, training, and development, and preparing and conducting performance reviews

•  Maintaining close collaboration with management concerning capability and performance of staff

•  Working with the Quality Assurance Project Manager to ensure that completed projects meet contract requirements

- Geospatial Analyst

This position in our Federal Programs Division requires accurate, efficient collection of feature and/or elevation data from stereo imagery using ArcGIS and Socet Set along with other software applications as needed in accordance with established specifications. Other requirements for this position include a bachelor's degree in a geospatial discipline, excellent stereoscopic vision, the ability to maintain close collaboration with the QA/QC Project Manager to ensure accuracy and completeness requirements are met, the willingness to accept direction from management and peers to improve accuracy and efficiency, a high degree of analytical skill and attention to detail, as well as an understanding of photogrammetric principles, mapping specifications, and map accuracy standards. Must have a demonstrated ability to work in a dynamic team environment. May require working on second shift depending on staff and project requirements. Other preferred experience and skills include a knowledge of NGA products and workflows and experience using Socet Set and ArcGIS for feature and/or elevation extraction, as well as experience with DTM collection and editing. Candidate must be able to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret level clearance and be a U.S. Citizen.

 

- CAD/Ortho Technician – Entry Level

This position will be in our Commercial Division. Primary responsibilities include editing CAD data to delivery specifications, GIS to CAD conversion projects, helping out in the orthophotography department, and other map finishing duties. Other responsibilities may include mapping and orthophotography QA/QC, basic IT support, and GIS data creation, depending on qualifications. Qualified candidates must possess a bachelor's degree in geography, geospatial science, or related field (or equivalent experience). Strong organizational and analytical skills and close attention to detail required. Experience in CAD programs, either Microstation or AutoCAD, is required. Experience with orthophotography creation, Adobe Photoshope, GIS software, and basic IT knowledge is a plus.
