 Continental Mapping Consultants is pleased to announce the opening of a branch office in Portland, Oregon, run by veteran photogrammetrist Chris Aldridge. An ASPRS Certified Photogrammetrist, Mr. Aldridge brings to Continental Mapping a deep technical background gained from 24 years in the profession, with extensive experience in project management and all technical aspects of photogrammetry.
His technical experience includes 12 years of service on the American Society of Photogrammetry and Remote Sensing (ASPRS) board, as well as involvement with the Professional Land Surveyors of Oregon. Mr. Aldridge is also an Oregon Registered Professional Photogrammetrist.

The Northwest will benefit from the addition of Continental Mapping into the economy, and I look forward to providing all of my private and public clients with the high level of service that they deserve,” Mr. Aldridge stated. Mr. Aldridge and his family have lived in Portland since 1992, when he joined Spencer B. Gross, Inc. (SBG). In 1994, he was tasked with developing the digital orthophotography department at SBG and was instrumental in the transition from optical analytical to softcopy stereo photogrammetry. In 1998, he took over as the operations manager of SBG and oversaw all aspects of photogrammetric production. In 2004, he was named Vice President and General Manager, and he remained in that role until the SBG unit was sold to i-TEN Associates in 2008. Mr. Aldridge will play an important role for Continental Mapping’s new and existing clients from the Pacific Northwest. As Continental Mapping prepares to celebrate our 10th year in business, this addition will offer a more personal level of service to our Northwestern clients, and it expands our capacity and ability to all our clients. Continental Mapping has earned a reputation as a strong technical mapping problem solver, and adding Mr. Aldridge to our ranks strengthens this standing. |
